Privacy notice

1 · Who we are

Dakani Landscape Planning & Design Studio (a division of Imara Facilities Management, Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa) is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Our contact details are at the bottom of every page.

2 · What we collect

When you send a brief through the contact form, we collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your phone number (optional)
Your company / firm name (optional)
The brief you write us
Your IP-derived city / region (for our internal analytics — not stored against your name)

We also place two first-party cookies (dk_v · 30 days, dk_s · 30 minutes) to measure aggregate visitor patterns. These are not used for advertising and are not shared with third parties.

3 · How we use it

To reply to your brief
To prepare a proposal / quote you've asked us to prepare
To send you studio updates only if you opt in
To run aggregate analytics on which pages perform

4 · Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use a small set of service providers to run the studio — currently:

Supabase (database hosting · EU region)
GoDaddy email (transactional mail delivery)
Vercel (website hosting · edge network)

5 · How long we keep it

We keep your brief and contact details for as long as we are corresponding on the project, plus 7 years after the last contact for tax-record retention (as required by the Income Tax Act). You can ask us to delete it sooner — see §7.

6 · How we keep it safe

Database access uses row-level service-role credentials. The site is served over HTTPS only. Operational access is limited to the studio principal.

7 · Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

Ask what personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct it
Ask us to delete it
Object to direct-marketing communication (we don't do this by default)
Complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za
